Daily reports

A consolidated 24-hour summary of every confirmed and suspected hantavirus case, status change, and outbreak event. Each report compiled from primary sources (WHO, ECDC, CDC, UKHSA, national health ministries, and named wire services). Structured tracking began 8 May 2026 at the start of the MV Hondius cluster's diplomatic and repatriation phase.

How daily reports work Each report covers a 24-hour window ending at the report-date's 06:00 UTC and is an archived snapshot of cluster state at that point. Live current state is on the MV Hondius outbreak file. Editorial corrections are logged on the corrections page and noted in revised reports with a banner.

Editorial standards

Every event in every daily report carries a source attribution. Numeric claims (case counts, deaths, countries) reconcile with the structured data layer maintained on the dashboard, which is sourced to WHO DON, ECDC, CDC, UKHSA, NICD, and named wire services. See the methodology page for our source-tiering framework and corrections log for post-publication amendments.
