Chile and Argentina share the southern cone Andes virus endemic zone. Chilean cases concentrate in Los Lagos, Aysén and Magallanes regions, with seasonal peaks in late austral summer.
Active surveillance. Andes virus is endemic across Chilean Patagonia and the Aysén region, paralleling the situation in adjacent Argentine territory. Approximately 60-80 confirmed cases per year.
